Transition from puppy to adult food
 
Maddy is ten months old and will be switching to adult food in August. She currently is eating Innova Puppy and seems to like it pretty well. I was wondering, should I switch to the Innova Adult, or do you reccomend another high-end brand in Adult? I would love your input!

I think Innova is a very nice brand...and if she's doing well on it, I'd probably keep her in the same brand. :)

I have heard nothing but great things about Innova. She seems to like it pretty well and I am glad that I only had to go thru 3 foods to find one she likes. :rolleyes: Bratty Maddy for ya!

There ya go - if she likes it, that's key too! Bc sometimes these stinkers can be picky. :D

That is for sure! When I first got Maddy, our chow/lab mix was still eating store bought. She would sneak over to his dish and steal the big kibble and run back to her dish and pretend she was eating her food. Would make me crazy that she would leave the food I was spending a small fortune on to steal the store bought junk! Needless to say, Blue, our chow, would enjoy her leftovers. :rolleyes::p

LOL :D :D :D! They are *so* smart...that is pretty brilliant that she knew she should try to pretend she was eating her own food. :p

Jackson's 8 months old and he's already on Innova adult. He's a bigger boy at 14lbs and he pretty much stopped growing a month ago.

He loves the food!

I had Chase switch from Innova Puppy to Innova Small Breed Adult at 10 months. He's doing great. I gradually mixed in the adult food in...

Is there a certain time to switch from puppy food to adult food? Mandie is 10 mths old but a very active little puppy!!

I think 10 months to a year old is a good time to switch the food.

I have her on Canidae but I am not sure that is what I want to keep her on. She doesn't always eat it. Sometimes she just turns her nose up to it.
