Bull Pizzle??? So I have looked online and saw that Bullysticks are super expensive for a dog treat... But I live in Japan and at our Base Exchange they have what is called " Bull Pizzle".. I looked up what that meant ( even though I had a good idea LoL ) and was wondering if this is the same as a bully stick? They are still kinda pricey but not as much as the bullystick.. they are also made in the US..so if i bought them I wouldnt be worried about her getting sick.. anyone ever let their dog have BuLL PiZzLE haha |

I do believe that bull pizzle is the same thing as bully stick. I've read that bully stick's ingredient is "bull pizzle". Yes, they can be very pricey. I buy mine from a YTer - AMD. Website is something like westbrook dog. The prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent. It might be worth checking into and pay a little extra for shipping? |
You already have your answer that yes, they are the same. Thought I would let you know some history. Maybe 3 years or more ago, we had quite a debate over what a bully stick really was. Many refused to believe they had been letting their precious pups chew on THAT! LOL! It was sort of funny, but it really took quite a while before everyone pretty much came around to understanding what the bully stick, bull tendons, bull pizzle was all about. I think there may still be a couple of hold outs that think their bully sticks are made of some other tendon. :D Mine have all loved them. They are also a great chew for new puppies. All of mine have teethed on them. |
I bought red barn ones this week. Man, the stench is unbelievable. I need non stinky bullys. I've bought them in the past that don't stink, but those ones are not wrapped; so I was afraid of rats in the pet store at night crawling on them; so I tried the red barn ones...but they really do stink beyond bearable. Who makes non stinky wrapped bullys? |
AMD on here I heard sells them , and I was told by other YT'ers they don't stink. Check it ouT! |

Yep I got some from AMD. One of them has lasted 2 weeks so far and it is still only halfway gone. And Ella LOVES it and chews on it all the time. I would say they are worth the cost because they last a long time and they dont stink. The Bully sticks in petsmart are enough to make you throw up... no joke! |

i got some from petco...dog got sick with vomiting and bloody diarrhea! he is getting better now...but they say if they stink or smell smoked that they are not good ones. would really like to know the best ones...because my guys LOVE them.:D |
This is an outside toy for our babies! It took me a day to figure out what the awful smell was and once I discovered it I decided it's a treat best left to the patio, not the living room rug. Ick. But they do love them, dogs are so weird. |
AMD's are the absolute best. When I first got Scooter, I was advised to try them. Here it is almost two years later (hard to believe) and I won't buy any other bullys. They don't smell and they last a long time. Check the Featured Yorkie Products for Sale section on here because AMD will post sale notices and coupon codes sometimes.
