not eating....kinda HI everyone! mytwo year old has been very good about eating from the start. I have switched foods on him a few times and served home cooked, he always ate. He gained a pound over the winter and is jsut over 4 pounds. Heres the deal....when we serve him he might not eat for several hours. He gets a breakfast and a supper. Sometimes he vomits. I ffelt we were serving too much food, but my husband served more than I felt good about. So we decided to cut back on the serving size and that solved the problem. HE seems back to normal. Do you think we are starving him and that is why he is eating? He is active during the day. Has this ever happened to you ? Thank you |
Thank you if any body has had this happen...your comments will be appreciated! |
Yorkie tummies are small, and since your baby is only 4 pounds, I don't think he really needs to eat so much, esp if you feel DH is giving too much. Dogs aren't like people, they won't starve themselves on purpose. If he is hungry then he will eat, assuming everything is ok and he's not sick. What are you feeding now? You shouldn't switch around foods too much. Somtimes Uni will gag or dry heave when she doesn't eat (nothing comes up). It's b/c she didn't eat her kibble thinking she's holding out for some people food, but we won't give her any most of the time. Once she realizes she's not getting any human food she will eat her kibble. |
I appreciate your reply ,it makes me feel better about what we are doing. About switching foods we have only done so a few time so that he would not get picky. thanks again for your insight. |
