"Molly Tinkled On Me" When Molly was very young, I was carrying her through a store. I felt this warmth running down my side. She had tinkled on me. I took the blame for this one, because I had not let her down. It never happened again, until recently. She is now 8 months old. She was sound asleep on my lap. All of a sudden, I felt this warmth though my robe. I lifted her up, and she had tinkled on me. I was shocked. Can anybody shed some light on this? These are the only two times in her life, that she has done this. She sleeps with me at night, and had never wet the bed. |
You should feel honoured :) I once met a breeder who gave you a puppy if that puppy tinkled on you. She said that you will have the most amazing bond with that puppy and that puppy with you. Well, I don't know if that is true, but what I do know is this: Puppies find it very difficult to tinkle in a strange place and will only tinkle when they are relaxed (This was certainly true when I took my 10 week old on a six hour car ride. We made frequent stops, but she held it... for six hours.). Anyway, the point is that when a puppy is completely relaxed, their bladders let go. I think you should see this as a blessing during the puppyhood. Let's face it, it will definitely be something that you will remember forever. They won't make this mistake as adults, when they have full control over their bladders. So, try to see it as a blessing and feel honoured that she feels so relaxed with you (the same way she did when she was with her mama). |
My Little Tinkler Thank you so much. What you heard, may be the truth. I have two Yorkies. Maggie loves my husband. If he sits down, she's on it. I got Molly for me. She is my little princess. She constantly follows me around. If I close a door, she waits at the door. When I open the door, you would think that she hadn't seen me for a year. She is very shy, and will come to me at the slightest disturbance. It's true, the bond that Molly and I have is very strong. I am blessed to have both Yorkie Furkids, but Molly is my special needs child. She just recently learned how to bark. I guess she just didn't have anything to say. Thank You again. |
It is my pleasure. Wow, it sounds like you have a really great relationship. I also have two yorkies and while Cash is very independent, my new baby June, 4 months, is the sweetest little thing. She always wants to play or cuddle. Yorkies truly are a joy to have!! |
We have a Boston Terrier that used to sleep with us. When she was a puppy she wet the bed probably at least 5 or 6 times. Wouldn't budge in her sleep at all. Never knew what happened till morning. Thank goodness we had a waterproof mattress pad. She has since outgrown it. :) It was crazy-she was just like a child bed wetter I guess. She is my husbands dog and normally would lay at the foot of his side under the covers. Lucky him. :) |
ha ha ha, this is a very funny thread. My little Winston, who's now a year and 6 months old, lifted his leg and peed on me about a week ago. I was wear flip flops and all LOL I have no clue why he did it but I laughed soo hard! |
