Can someone help me, my 4 month old Yorkie wont eat his food I hate to have to change his diet yet again I know is bad for him I have him on WELLNESS for puppies -science diet before . He would eat the first few days but then refuse it-on CHAT forum someone suggested to give him rice & boiled chicken breast I don't want to give him human food. What to do should I.HELP!!!! |
Yorkies tend to be picky eaters  With Jackson, I mixed the dry food in with the kibble. But you gotta mix it real good or else he will eat around the kibble and just get the wet food... lol, so I literally got every piece of kibble with some wet food on it. |
I have been mixing Charley dry food with a little wet too... And she is on wellness small breed dry and LOVES the duck, sweet potatoes canned.. So mixing it has worked for me. I would like to know HOW BAD this is tho for the future?! I just mixed her food this AM and she ATE IT ALL! She was not eating either and well, I am just happy she is eating right now! Good Luck! I have a very picky 6 yr old Yorkie. I've been told it is best to feed smaller dogs every 12 hours, so Ace eats at 6am & 6pm regularly. He is 5lb and I feed him 1/2 a container of wet Cesar twice a day. I know there is some debate on wet food so I also see that dry food is ALWAYS available for him. You might try plain baked chicken breast and plain white rice to supplement your dog during a spurt of not eating. Another option to try is plain non-fat yogurt either alone or mixed in food. The acidophilus bacteria is great for their little digestive tracts! Good Luck as I think all Yorkie owners have dealt with this problem!! |

Is parmasean cheese safe for dogs? Hmm...I would have never thought of that! I do use yogurt and that can be hit or miss with him. So do you but the parm on dry kibble? May I ask the size of your Yorkiem b/c my little guy is MUCH pickier than my big guy! Thanks :) |
