Pine-Sol Causes sezuires in dogs Found that out the hard way, a few thousand in vet bills to try and figure out what was wrong with my dog to disscover it's because I used pine sol to clean my floor. Don't I feel like a dummy. |
I've never heard of this.. did your dog lick it up? |
You shouldn't feel like a dummy, there are lots of things that can cause seizures. I had recently read that Pine scented floor cleaners can cause seizures too. Did your pup have focal seizures or full blown grand maul seizures? Once you figured out what the problem was and discontinued using pine sol, how long before you pup was back to normal? |
My Jack russell x chihuahua dog developed seizures awhile back and we pin pointed it to pine sol. We also noticed that after a couple of days have passed from a long fun filled day or two with little rest he would have a seizure. |
Thanks for the reminder. I'm so sorry you all had to go through that. :( Maybe you will save another pup with this thread. Thank you. |
I use it all the time. I guess it's time to use something different. |
I just saw a sale on some dog-safe cleaning products....oh yea! I think it's Dog.com's clearance section. PetGanics All Purpose Cleaner 32 oz Lavender - Dog.com |
