Food Dilemma, suggestions needed Living in a small town there is only one vet..and they don't stock dog food! The one pet store here carries a product called Nutrience, by Hagen, which I checked out and didn't see any reviews. My only other dog food options come from Walmart ..Iams, Eukanuba, Ceasar, etc..any suggestions on which I should go with..I don't want to feed my little boy crappy food  |
I don't know about Nutrience but I would order on-line and get a quality food. Wellness ( my brand ) Innova, Merrick there are several. There is a sticky here that shows the best foods and there is a chart with ratings. That is how I decided what I wanted to feed. I have found the better foods only cost a little more in some cases and it is worth every penny for my girls to have the best. I have seen some of your posts and I know you are conscientious. But I would stay away from those you mentioned. I know the s&h costs add up but maybe you could buy in bulk, the hit would be big but infrequent. Good luck w/your baby. |

You're welcome. I noticed there are several YTers in Canada. Are any of them in your area? I was thinking if they have to order maybe you all could pool your orders and meet in the middle to devy them up. I know this isn't easy but maybe a possibility. Did you check out the ingredients in Nutrience? Maybe its doable if it doesn't have corn and lots of fillers and bad junk in it. Wish I had a better answer. |
I am with Camile. I would definitely order on line. It will probably be costly but worth it in the long run. |
Petco will ship internationally. Help Topics at PETCO |
I think I'd order online if I were you. However, the ONLY food that I would recommend from Wal-Mart is called Maxximum. It's not great but it's better than all the other horrible foods out there. Here is the review: Dog Food Reviews - Maxximum Nutrition Adult Recipe Lamb & Rice Formula - Powered by ReviewPost Only some Walmarts seem to carry it. |
Thanks for all the suggestions, I am grateful for all of them!! |
