He's limping
 
I just took Teddy for a long run and now he is limping:confused: I can't even tell which leg it is.?

Has he been cleared of luxating patella?

Check his paws would he have a stone or glass inbetween his toes. Have you touch the legs, rub it, does he pull away or wine?

No, i think he does have it but im not sure what grade, because when i feel his knees they do feel weird like they pop but a vet hasn't checked them. Can that be it, after a long run would they bother him?

No i cleared anything that he had away :( I touch them and he doesnt whine or seem to be in pain, and he is still trying to run and jump on furniture but i wont let him.

Yes, it can luxate and then go back and a run would do it.
If he has it he needs to be on glucosamine and if it is a grade 3 or 4, he needs surgery. He really does need to see the vet for it. :(

Is he putting his leg down yet?

Cup your hand and glide over his leg from the outside in, and hopefully you'll slip his knee cap back into place.

This happened to TJ :(

yes all his legs are down, he is walking on all 4, i cant tell which leg it is but he was walking funny before, now not so much but i still am going to check it out

Hey girl, so sorry about Teddy limping. Glad he's walking better now. It does sound like LP to me. :( I had Trixie at the vet a few months back and her one knee is a grade 1 and the other is more like a 1-2. My vet also recommended a glucosamine type suppliment. Gluco is good for the joints. I bought this stuff from my vet but for double the price. :cool::rolleyes: Here is a link for you but there are many differen't types of suppliments out there. Is it good to get stuff for joints even if dogs don't have joint problems? Just wondering
if it can be a preventative at all. Jackson's shown no signs of any of this stuff but I'd
like to keep him as healthy as possible. ;)

Thanks so much girl! London also has LP but the vet never told me to get this. She just checked her knees said she had LP and that's it. I am going to get it. Thanks so much!

It shouldn't hurt anything to give something like Cosequin but you don't have to either.

thanks for the info. Kobe's vet said the same thing, he has LP, but never mentioned to give him the supplement.
