What age can I start dry kibble? New pup is 9.5 weeks. Breeder was giving him cheerios and milk in morning, scrambled egg at lunchtime and soaked Royal Canin puppy with chicken in the evening. He doesnt really eat much of the cheerios or scrambled egg, but devours the Royal Canin. Will it be ok just to give him this 3 times a day, and when can I give him it unsoaked. Millie was older when I got her, so was straight onto the dry food. Also, his eyes arent dark brown yet - I think they still have a bit of the puppy colour - when should they change completely? |
He has teeth doesnt he? If so hes old enough for dry food now |
He's old enough to eat the dry food 3 times a day. You can still give him eggs if he seems hungry. His eyes will change sometimes up to 3-4 months old. I bet he's a cutie! Did you pick a name yet? Can't wait to see pics of your new little guy!! :) |
A 9.5 week old pup should be able to eat dry food for every meal. You could give canned too if you want. What is this about Cheerios and milk though? Cheerios should only be given on occcasion as treats and not with milk... |
