Apple Cider Vinegar for our pets. :). Just thought that I would share what I found out about ACV. Ive been taking now for about a month now, thanks to some good info on this board so I thought that I would do a search on it for my dogs, I have heard several times that it helps repels fleas. Anyways here are two links that I found so I thought that I would share: Ten Good Reasons to Give Your Pet Apple Cider Vinegar How to Use Apple Cider Vinegar for Pets | eHow.com there are many more out there, but they all pretty much state the same thing. Anyways, as of yesterday I started adding a few drops to my animals water so they get use to the smell and taste then I will up the amount to a teaspoon. Im hoping that it will help with the fleas so I can get them off the frontline. I havent treated my dogs this month yet, so I will let you all know if it works :D |
Make sure you're using unpasteurized apple cider vinegar....not the stuff sold in the grocery store. You'll find it at health food stores. Pasteurizing (heating) removes most of the helpful benefits. |
yeah thats the stuff I have the unpasterized.. I guess I should of mentioned that.. :) Sorry.. oh and I did find mine in the grocery actually, its 100 percent organic raw and unfilterd, its called tree of life... |
I have heard really great results with vinegar and eye tearing too. |

 I have read that too!! I had them on the angel eyes on and off but I have stopped giving it to them to see if the cider works.. |
Any updates on this? :) |
Oooh, yeah... any updates?? Thanks for resurrecting this thread Robin Lodal...now if the op will please respond.:D |
Nifty idea. Does anyone know of any side effects from putting it on them topically? Dry skin, rash, etc. |
I found online that ACV (I only had the grocery brand) was good to use for greenish eye discharge. I used it on Nia one time and it worked. I put about 1/2 a capful between her shoulder blades. |
