Urination Concern My little Oliver dribbles after he goes potty. I was a little concerned, but not really sure if it is a health concern or if he just needs to strengthen up his little muscles. But today, I noticed a yellow substance on his little private area. This makes me think infection, but has anyone experienced this? |
I can't tell you if the dribbling is normal or not (it depends on if he is still outside "trying" or not, and for how long it happens) but if you think it's not call your vet because if they think it's a problem there are definitely medicines they can give him to strengthen those muscles. Loki is on one called PPA - Phenylpropanolamine (wow, I can spell that from memory LOL) Not sure about the yellow stuff. Loki gets crusty stuff but I'm not sure if that's what you mean. |
I would have him checked by a vet. to make sure its not UTI or stones. |
How old is he? |
He is 15 weeks old. He goes potty just fine, but as he walks away he leaves a little trail of drops. It only lasts for maybe the first few steps. I had noticed a small amount of crusty something like you describe once before, but this time I think I might have noticed it before it dried or whatever. He does lick himself a lot, which I was just assuming was normal, but now....I am calling the vet this morning. Thank you both. |
I had a similar question I'm glad you posted this...Wicket does it too but I just assumed that he was running off before he was finished because he wanted to go back to playing with Twinkl. He has a puppy check this afternoon at the vets so I'm gonna ask about it too. I hope all goes well at the vets for you....keep us posted xxx xxx |
