Really Bad Motion Sickness In Car My little Chewie is such a sweetie. She gets the worst motion sickness in the car. I have her in her crate and we'll be in the car only 5 minutes and she'll start throwing up. The last time I had her in the car she threw up like ten times! I always make sure that if I know that she'll be riding in the car that I don't feed her for a while before. The last time I took her in the car around 2:30. She hadn't eaten food since 7 am and she still got sick all over. Is there anything I can do or give her to make this more pleasant? I feel really bad for her because I feel like I can't do anything to make it any better. Any advice is greatly appreciated. If it helps, the breeder did tell me her mother had bad car sickness. So I guess it is inherited???!!!?? |
she probably gets sick cause she is in the crate in the car.. maybe you can get a car seat where she can look out the window in the front seat. im sure that would help a whole bunch. . |
Some on here have suggested ginger snaps for car sickness, but, it never helped mine. :( I give my Deuce 1/2 a "bonnie" tablet. Its over the counter, like dramamine, but without the drowiness. Check with your vet on the dosage; Deuce is 8.5 lbs and 1/2 is just right for him. Hope this helps. |
