Is onioion powder bad for dogs??? |
Yes it is. |
thanks for replying.. I thought that it was, but I wasnt sure. I got a coupon offer from pedigree and thier new canned food and I read the ingredients on 2 of the varities that I checked out and both had onioion powder in it and I was actually surprised to see it. SO they are potentially harming animals with thier food..awesome... (((rolling eyes))) maybe they werent told that it was bad for dogs??? |
In the book I saw for home made dog treats onion was bad but some things did call for garlic powder. But no fresh garlic and no onions. |
I knew Pedigree was terrible food, but I can't believe they use onion powder! Onions are toxic to dogs and can cause a form of anemia: WARNING! Onions Are Toxic to Dogs |
Yes, onion can cause Hemolytic Anemia. |
Then you have Vitakraft using cocoa powder in their "chocolate drops". I don't care if it's just a speck. Why would you intentionally give a dog chocolate??? Garlic is more of a detable topic but every dog food company should know by now that it should not be used. |
We get yogurt drops but they are made with carob not chocolate. |
