Veterinary / Pet Insurance Question As some of you may remember, I adopted my little Chorky, Zoey, a couple of weeks ago. Well, this one-year-old literally flies and jumps around with total joyous abandon. Back in the day, when I actually had some money, I had 2 LP pooches. Both had successful surgeries and all was well. Today, I doubt I could afford such things, so little Zo is making me nervous. I think pet insurance is in order. Petplan seems like the way to go since they cover hereditary and congenital conditions...so long as they are not preexisting. She has no symptoms or problems, I'm just paranoid. My question is this...if the vet found any looseness in the knee, without any pain or problems, would that be called preexisting LP? |
I would say yes it would be considered preexisting because LP is diagnosed all the time with not pain. |
Thanks...I'm very much afraid you're right. Especially after doing a little reading on Wikipedia. She's got me completely wrapped around her tiny paw already, so if worse comes to worse, I'll just have to find a way to deal. |
