Treat Recipe I can't remember who posted the recipe for the treats that you can make with baby food, wheat germ, and powdered milk. I made the treats and baked them yesterday. My babies can't get enough of these treats. My lab, Maddie, (loves everything anyway) just loves it. Sadie (my yorkie) was almost doing flips for the treat. The real test will be my mom's dog (who is a mix of Shiz Tzu and some terrier). He is VERY picky. So if he likes them, it is a real go! Just had to say thank you to whoever posted that recipe. My babies are loving it. Didn't know if it needed refrigeration when they were done, but I put them in there anyway and they don't mind eating it cold. :D |
New poster here, found the site through a search engine. Got a favor to ask, if you don't mind....could you post the recipe for the treats? I have 2 precious babies who I'm sure would love them! Thanks, Suzi |
I did a search and foun this was previously posted by Jenni on 8/19/05. Thanks Jenni, my babies loved it! :animal36 1 jar lamb or chicken babyfood 1 c. wheat germ 1 c. milk powder Mush together (add a little milk if too thick, more wheat germ if too wet) Put in a plastic bag, snip off corner and squirt out into hershey-kiss-sized treats on a baking sheet. Bake for about 10 mins at 350. You can add a little garlic or parm cheese too if you like. |
Thank you for the recipe. I can't wait to try it for Riley. I was going shopping Sat. AM, but now I may have to go this afternoon so I can try this tonight. :-) |
