Poop Question for EVO users Hi Everyone! Moose has been successfully switched over to EVO small bites for about 2 months now (after a VERY bad experience with the EVO wet food :( ) He likes the EVO and it seems to be doing just fine on the new food. However... his poop is very different from before- just want to make sure it's normal and see if any other EVO users have noticed this. It looks exactly like petrified wood. :p Haha, I know it sounds crazy but that is the perfect way to describe it. It used to be brown and now its greenish brown and looks "fossilized". It's not runny- it's solid but it just looks really funny! Anyone else noticed this? Thanks! :) -LB and Moose |
Haha....interesting.. Snick has MASSIVE scary poop when he started on Evo. Then they became normal, small, and brown He would always poop x2 a day. I did notice a very different smell factor. It smelled more like human poop that doggie doodee. When I used to mix the wet in, he would get softer stools, but nothing crazy. Everything I give Snick seems to come out the other end the same color. I do remember some green sometimes and wondered about that. Now, he is on Evo in the evenings and we are getting brown, normal, pellet poop. He gets raw in the morning. Sorry--I'm no help! |
Lexi eats EVO small bites with Wellness puppy canned. We are slowly giving her less and less of the canned. She poops twice a day almost at the same time each day! Dark colored very firm and not a lot! ;) |
Yeah, my Yorkie had a really hard time adjusting to Evo. When he had the wet mixed in with the dry, his poop was too smelly to handle. Then when I tried to just give him a tiny bit of wet with the dry Evo bites, I had to take him off it because his stool became too dry/crusty at some point that it hurt his butt ahhaha. The vet said that perhaps my dog is just not able to digest / process the excess protein and such. So he's on Wellness now... |
We share alot about food, what goes in. But sharing about what comes out can also be very educational. :p |
