Dry, Flaky skin Lola has dry, flaky skin all over. It is visible on her belly and when I pull apart her hair. It even seems to be on her paws (the pads seem normal). She eats Wellness that says it has Omega 3's in it, and she only gets a bath about every 3 weeks and I rinse well. Any ideas or suggestions? Should I be giving her a supplement or do you think it is a food allergy? Any input or suggestions appreciated :) |
Jasmine's skin is very dry and she used to scratch constantly. Breeder had her on Eukanuba, I switch to Wellness, she still wasn't better, so I decided that Eukanuba and Wellness both had chicken in it so I decided to put her on soild gold and she is doing much better. I'm going to give it 6 weeks. I think it is the chicken she's allergic to. Because I was still giving her treats with chicken and until I stop them I notice she's much better. |
I was having a terrible time with my Sugar's skin and this has been a miracle- Royal Coat Express 8oz, Ark Naturals Natural Products For Pets My PetCo carries it. Due to allergies, his skin was flaky and inflamed and he was diagnosed with seborrhea. After a month or so of adding this oil to his food once a day he is doing great. Good luck- I know how frustrating skin issues can be. |
Chester gets grizzly salmon oil on his wet food that will help, also look up apple cider vinegar and water together and spray it or pour in over them, it is supposed to help with itches and all that skin stuff. The fleas dont like it wither it makes their skin more acidic, it is supposed to help with dandruff, I keep forgeting to get it for chester. |
