Oh my goodness!!! Amanda...you poor thing. Poor babies too. Is there anything you need? I hope the pred works out for sweet Ry Ry and that things will get better soon. Dh's uncle had a schnauzer that had a problem with his spine, but it was also neurological. Can't remember what it was called right now. He got a lot better, but he always walked a little funny. His back legs didn't work quite right and it hurt him to be picked up. He couldn't stand up very long to be groomed either. I pray it's nothing that serious for Ryder. He's so young, too! I can't imagine what you're going through. I'm so sorry. I've been thinking about getting steps for Harley and making him stop jumping too. Maybe try to stay ahead of the game with him. He's almost as active as his big brother, Ranger. I think the haircut for Ranger is a smart choice. I'm so sorry they are going through this at the same time. It must be so hard for you. Let me know if you need anything! Seriously. I can't be a whole lot of help in my current situation with the pregnancy. But, if there's anything I can do I'd be happy to help. It is definitely pouring isn't it. That must be why we've had so much rain lately. Even the heavens are weeping for you! |
Oh no..I'm so sorry about Ryder! Poor boy :( It is so hard to keep yorkies from jumping..they are just so active and think they are so big! My two leap off of everything...bad knees and all  I hope the meds help and can keep this under control. I just hope he doesn't have to be on them long term...as it can lead to other conditions :( I'll be checking for updates. Hugs to you, Ryder and Ranger. It's aweful when something is wrong with our babies :( |
I just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. At a point in my life when things seemed their darkest, and I was lamenting over why god was allowing the flood gates of disaster to empty onto my lands. My friend turned around and said," God doesn't test the weak girlie, where is the fun in that"? That one irreverant statement has kept me battling on hills that previously, I thought I might of perished on. Hang tough, and know that many people are sending prayers your way! |
Oh my goodness Amanda, I am sooooo sorry you guys are going through this. Poor little Ryder and Poor Ranger. Please please let me know if you need anything. I don't even know what to say..I am just so heart broken by this. I am praying for you guys. |
I am so sorry. Your post made me so sad :(! I am sending lots of hugs and prayers to you and Ryder and Ranger too....... Hopefully this will all end soon for you and everything can be back to normal-or at least as normal as it can be. ((((HUGS)))). |
Amanda, :( I haven't really been on much today, but OMG! I am so sorry! Poor little Ryder. You have so much going on right now and I'm so sorry there is more now. Know that I'm here for you. What about muscle relaxants, those would help w/ spasms and in turn w/ pain. |
Amanda I'm sorry your having to go through this with your babies. I just can't imagine. I will remember you in my thought's and prayers. you keep your head up it will be ok in time. keep good thoughts. |
I am so sorry I can't answer everyone individually, although I truly, honestly appreciate each and every comment. You guys are amazing, and I am so thankful to have met all of you. I got Ry out of his crate for a bit this afternoon, about two hours after his first super tiny dose of pred. He seemed pretty good, and just rested with me. If he moves just right though he cries a little, which makes me breakdown everytime. I let him potty, drink and served him "dinner in bed." DH took me out for dinner and when we got back I let him out again, but he was so excited to see mommy he made himself cry but then seemed fine once he moved around a bit. He went out to potty and actually looked pretty good. He still cowers a bit when I go to pick him up, which kills me. I bought him a larger "day crate" so now he and Ranger have more roomy day crates, and smaller cozy sleeping crates. I also stocked up on hardy chews to keep them occupied while recuperating. He is very happily chewing on a Westbrook bully, you wouldn't know anything was wrong if you didn't know the whole story. I am allowed to let him out and have him on my lap, but right now he seems so sensitive to just the right movement, so as much as it is killing me, I am going to keep him crated for the rest of tonight and all of tomorrow (with potty breaks of course). I am hoping the pred will totally kick in by tomorrow afternoon and will take that twinge away. Ranger is pretty concerned that his little brother has a bully and he doesn't.. I told him, you just wait little man, it will be your turn soon enough. |
You and your boys are in my thoughts and prayers. |
