How often do you feed your dog? I don't have a yorkie yet but the dog I do have I was always told to feed him once a day but reading about yorkies they say twice. Even if I do try to feed my dog twice a day he wont eat on the second round. It would seem like he is being over feed |
3-5 times a day. If she wasn't liver compromised and ate kibble she would be free fed or fed 2-3 times a day. No dog, whatever the size, should ever be fed just once a day in my opinion. |

Milo gets free fed there is food out all day for him, but I do change the food out 2 times a day sometimes he eats it sometimes he dose not. But I know it is always there for him if he wants it. |
Madison is 4 months and eats 3-4 times a day. |
I feed twice a day. four dogs on a schedule. When puppies, it was three times a day. |

She gets a set amount everyday and I break it into either 3, 4 or 5 servings. It is better for her liver and since she eats homecooked, it is full of moisture and not so full of calories. So it takes a lot of food to get enough calories in her and she couldn't eat enough in two meals (or at least I don't want her to try). And the 2-3 times a day I posted above for a healthy dog on kibble, I would increase that to 3-6 times a day in a small puppy unless you free feed. |
All my dogs (no matter what size / breed) have been fed twice a day. When puppies or in Barley's case half starved when I got him...it was three times a day...plus lots of treats from potty training. :D |
Food is always out for Fiona, however, she really only eats twice a day. She will eat a little in the am, and then the rest at night, treats in between. :D |
4 to 6 small meals a day low protein |
I feed mine twice a day morning and night but Simon usually gets a snack around lunchtime of a few kibbles. And they get treats throughout the day :) |
