Too Sensitive Stomach?! Hi Guys, I need your opinions please. My Max is now 1 year old. People say dogs must eat quality meat so aside from his own dry food, I tried to give him some good treats like a spoonful of boiled egg, white rice, cottage cheese, beef or chicken once a week or so. But every time I tried giving him human food, he had the runs and threw up all over the place. So I became very afraid and stopped giving him any human food at all. Do your Yorkies have such senstivie stomachs too??? Or am I just blessed with one??? So, now I have to find "VERY VERY high quality, High Protein source" of dog food for him, since his highness' stomach can't take anything but dry food. What is really well known and Proven to be "good for the dog" dry dog food? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!! |
Yorkies can have sensitive stomachs. Once in a while is ok to give them human food but without seasoning ,more of a blend kind. Some cant eat human food at all cause like Maximus they get sick. Good dry kibbles are Innova Evo, Wellness, Natural Balance, Canidae, or Chicken of the soup. For dogs that have very sensitive stomachs the vet can prescribe a special dog food. If Max only gets sick when you feed him human food, I wouldn't feed it to him anymore. If he still having tummy troubles I will take him to the Vet asap. Good luck. Please keep us posted how is he doing. |
