Leo is going for surgery friday :(
 
Im dropping Leo off tonight for his surgery tomorrow.I wont see him until saturday,im already sad and lonely.He is always with me wherever i go and today he is just sitting on my lap like he knows he will be going away for 2 nights.What can i expect after the neuter surgery???Please let me know

Wow - why does he have to be away for so long? That's a long time away from home for a neuter.

Sending prayers and hugs for Leo that he has a quick and speedy recovery.

I work from 7am-4pm and they told me i can drop him off a night before and he can stay there until surgery at no cost.Surgery is friday at noon,he has to stay overnight.

It's so weird that some vets keep dogs overnight after they are spayed/neutered. I've never had to leave my dogs. Even when Missy had major surgery on her leg 6 weeks ago, I got to take her home. I would be on pins and needles waiting that long for my puppy back. I barely made it having to go 6 hrs without Missy yesterday (she needed another surgery to have her screw removed from her leg). I hope you can hang in there. Surely they will phone you right after surgery to let you know that everything went smoothly. Will you be allowed to visit Friday night? That would be nice.

Don't let your Momma tell you that story about you feelin' fine afterwards. My Momma tried that and I kept telling her, "But I feel fine now - so I'll just stay home, k thxs bye?"

But if you can't find a good hidin' place, :dogsm6: look real pitiful when you come home and don't eat your yummy dinner like you usually do and maybe your Momma will do like mine and fix a comfy bed on the sofa and hand feed me yummylicous warm oatmeal. It was almost worth it 'cause my bossy big sista Gwacie Woof didn't get any. :D

Good Wuck and be sure to come here and let us know if you found a good hidin' place or had to go to the doctors.

I am sure he will be fine.
Buddy stayed the night he was neutered and I picked him up the
next morning. You would never know anything was done.

He will do just fine! As far as mommie, well I know it will be harder for her! By the next day, he will be back to normal!! I will keep Leo in my prayers!

Aww, I'm sorry. Everything will be ok, he will be just fine!! Although I hope I remember that in a couple of months when I get Madison spayed:rolleyes:

Will the vet let you go back and visit him. If so, could you take some time off from wor? The vet gave my Yorkie a sedative the other day to do an xRay. He let me go back, and sit with him. Tucker knew I was there the entire time.

Aww thank you all for the sweet replies.he is doing great.its like nothing happend.I took sometime off work so i can be with him.He sleeps most of the time,back to normal eating and playing with his toys.
