Cool and Clear Water Additive
 

So I was doing a search for dental info for suggestions from other YTers on what they used for their baby's teeth. Right now mine use greenies (never had problems with them and they LOVE them) and I started the PetzLife Oral Spray. While reading I learned about Cool and Clear which is a water additive that is supposed to help clean teeth and remove tartar. I googled, amazoned, ebayed, etc to find out where I can buy this and try it out. I clicked on a link that was posted in the past on YT and its no longer valid. I found other water additives when researching on google but I don't know how effective those are.

So has anyone had any experience with water additives? Anyone used Cool and Clear? Where can I find it? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

It would be great if there were a water additive that kept dogs from forming tartar. I would think they could add it to human water as well; tartar is a major problem for humans, unfortunately there isn't. While people have posted it is an amazing product, it just doesn't work, even the manufacturer said it only "freshens breath" it never claimed that it helps reduce tartar, however the manufacturer sold the product to sales people who claimed it did. People are motivated to "exaggerate" in order to sell a product. Remember the old saying "if something sounds to good to be true, it is"? It takes a while for the FDA to shut down these types of fraud, and they just start up under a new name, I'm sure you can find plenty of other products claiming to do the same thing. Don't listen to written testimonials, unless you can see proof that the product works. If someone is selling the product, look for outside confirmation, and ask you vet or dentist for their opinion. Petzlife is fairly new, they do say it softens tartar, but you have to use regular toothpaste to brush the softened tartar away. Not near as easy, as just adding a product to the water, but many people say it's effective.

I used the cool and clear and loved it!! I can honestly say that I did see a big improvement with Brownie's teeth. I was soooo upset that they stopped carrying it. If you do find it, please let me know!!
