First bath after spay How long should I wait before I bath Millie. She is getting extremely matted because of the blood and the solution they used. She has also had diahorrea (sp), so her back end is awful. Because she has hardly ate there is nothing to come out, so she is scooting her bum across the floors and it has gotten all matted up around her back end too. She hates baths at the best of times and struggles horrendously, but I am afraid she will be so matted that she'll need cut. |
I did the first bath about 11-12 days after, went fine |
:aimeeyork we waited until poppy had her stitches out  as advised by our vet , i think you have to keep the stitches dry :) i know its difficult but its not for long , good luck to you and hugs to your gorgeous baby :D love jill n poppy xx :animal-pa |
Maya's vet did something new to me, internal stitches, no need to come back unless there was some problem, this was kinda nice. |

Her stitches started bleeding again this morning. She hasnt been biting at them, but she must've nipped at it, or disturbed them when she was moving. My aunt, who was a nurse, looked at them, and thinks they are ok. She put a bit of tea tree on them to clean them up, and we will keep an eye on them. We have no kids, so this is one of the worst things I have had to go through. I cant imagine how it feels when children are sick! |

Now they have this new laser way of doing it, but that was going to cost 380.00, but from the sounds of it, the dog comes out like a whiz, so might be worth it if one can afford it. |

Two days after her spay I opened the front door thinking that Mika was too sick to bolt, I was wrong, she lead me a high speed chase for about a block and tore a couple of her stitches and I was frantic. but still all healed well and you can't tell she was ever cut. Her belly looks perfect. |

Little Sophie Mae was spayed yesterday. Dr used internal disolvable stitches on her. She had a bit of watery bloody discharge over night so they had me bring her in to check her incision. It was fine though. I was concerned because my other yorkie, Katy, had no bloody discharge with her spay. She is pretty much back to normal today. She has eaten and eliminated normally. She is more clingy than usual but that is understandable. I don't mind in the least holding her, she is so adorable. She likes to be held like a baby on her back. She always has. |
Mimi had the internal stitches, I could barley tell were she was cut. I bathed her after two weeks. |
