I get mine at a Natural pet store (not PetSmart or Petco). You'll probably have a better chance of finding them at the smaller pet stores, especially the ones that sell natural products. Ask the store owners, because they might order them for you.
I also brush Violet's teeth. There are alot of really good enzyme based pet toothpaste (where you don't have to brush every tooth, but instead just rub some on the teeth with your finger), and the enymes break down tooth tartar.
Between the Himalayan chew sticks and enzyme pet toothpaste, Violet's teeth are in great shape. :-) Quote:

I'm concerned about Brady's teeth- even though we brush them at least 5 times a week small dogs are prone to bad teeth. I know from experience because Corky's (before Brady) had so much tartar and even cleaning them at the vet's didn't get it all off. He got congestive heart failure when he was around 10-11 and after researching this I found that the infected gums can cause this. I'll check the pet shops near here to see if they have the chew sticks as I'd rather not order and have to pay shipping. Where do you get them? Thanks for the info.
