Taking out baby teeth/double teeth My vet says that when Charlie gets neutered next week she'll have to take some teeth out ... just out of curiosity - how many did your babies have to take out?? |
Gracie Ruth had 2, Yogi had 4. |
Both Chachi and Jewels had 4 taken out |
Pablo has double canines on the bottom...Need to come out... |
Gracie had 6!! :( it was THE WORST day i have had so far!!! thank goodness |
Was Gracie in pain afterwards? how do they act when they are in pain? Do they cry? I need to prepare myself to be attentive ... |
Baxter only had one out and it was after he was neutered. He never missed a beat. Didn't even miss a meal or have to have soft food. He was also pretty good when he was neutered. |
Mimi had 6 taken out & she was pretty much sleeping all day, not eating much (moistened her kibble w/warm water for couple of days), untill the anestisia wore off. She ws fine the next day. Momo had double rows of teeth on top...he had 10 removed! He was on pain meds (had him neutered too), but he was eating kibble & acting normal. I had to hold him so he wouldn't run around everywhere & hurt himself! |
Murphy had to have 10 taken out. |
Buster had 11 pulled when he was neutered at 6 months. The canines were the only teeth that looked like they would have caused him any discomfort . . . the roots were quite long (about as deep as they are exposed). I think the other 7 teeth were barely hanging on and would've fallen out soon anyway. He showed no outward signs of being in pain. |
Katie needs to get some out too. I am sorry to ask this but why do they need to take them out? If they are eating fine and dont bother them why? Again, sorry to ask a silly question. |
my mimi had two double caine |
Curly is 4.5 months and hasn't lost any teeth but hasn't grown any new ones either so I have no experience in this. |
Good question! Quote:
