? re: dry food choice for my 7 m.o. I am about to start switching Lulu over from Royal Canin dry to another kind. I went yesterday and picked up some NB for my Lab/ Golden (Mazey)...I had thought I would try Lulu on that brand but noticed there was no food specifically for puppies. The package I got for Mazey said for puppies and adult dogs. How can a food for adult dogs have the right nutrients for a puppy as well? I really thought I had made my decision FINALLY on what brand of food I would use for all my pets but now I am thinking I need to find something else for Lulu. I thought about ordering a small bag ofr the EVO small bites...would that be better for her? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. |
I was using Precise for puppies but I have changed to Merrick puppy plate. Tucker loves it. It is a human grade quality food. |
We currently use Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul. It is a HUGE hit here! We switched to it after S'anah refused to eat Canidae anymore. They make the puppy version and an adult dog version in the dry kibble, but I've only seen adult dog version in the cans. |
Well, since yorkies are considered "adult" at 6-8mths, you could give an adult food :). EVO is a really nice food too. |
Thanks so much everyone. I am going to give her a few pieces of the NB I bought for her with her RC in her pm feeding and see how she does. I know the pieces are a tiny bit bigger than the RC so I will be watching her very carefully. Thanks again.:) |

Jackson's about 5 months right now. So next month, I could start him up on adult food? |
