Our vet recommend using K9-Advantix for Moose. We just used it last summer When he was under 10 lbs. Now he is 14 lbs and I have to go up to the next weight box.

Mimi is 8 lbs. and she would need the under 10 lbs....

Holy Cow that will be $123.00 plus tax. :eek:

Someone told me to just buy the box for 11 to 20 lbs and split the tube between both of them, but put more on Moose than Mimi. :confused:

Has any one done this? I am not sure if I feel comfortable doing this. I asked my Vets office today and they said they won't advise me on that.

What do you all think??

I would ask the vet first. I myself wouldn't do it. I just bought all the flea meds for my 6 and luckily my vet was having a good deal on them. I still spent over $400 for the year for them, and that's excluding the smallest one as she won't be out in the yard playing with the others

Are you having a problem with ticks? If not, why not use regular Advantage? Otherwise you could use Frontline and evidently there is spray available that not many people know about. It's a big bottle and you use so many squirts for their weight. Ladymom gets it I think.

I did ask my vet tech, and she said they won't advise me whether to do that or not! :rolleyes:

No we are not having a problem with ticks. I am going to the vets tomorrow (Moose is getting his shots) and I will ask about just advantage or Frontline.

Well, actually 5. I have a german shepherd and golden retriever(and the meds are more expensive for them), then 4 inside dogs, but, the smallest one(my biewer) is only 9 mos. and 2 lbs. I won't put anything on her yet. I had given her sentinel twice. The first time she got acting strange and the 2nd time, as soon as she had it she threw up all over

I buy mine at 800petmed.com there are a little cheaper. and the come in the mail. One less thing to do.
