Cisco is about 7 years old and from time to time he does what we call a "hunger strike" where he wont eat for a day, but then he snaps out of it and eats. He only does this once every 4 or 5 months. Recently, he has been boycotting his food entirely BUT is very interested in any other type of food (cheese, chicken, his nutri-cal, etc) and he is acting normal. His stools are normal and he is playing, sleeping, going the bathroom regularly. I am so frustrated! He is eating Prescription Hills Z/D due to his seborrhea skin condition and it helps his skin stay normal. I know he isnt liking his food (if I put Iams Savory Sauce on it he sucks on the wet food to get it off and then spits out the Z/D). He is a little guy and I have noticed a little weight loss, what should I do? Would it be something to look at as far as switching foods? Does anyone else's furbabies do this? |
