Spinach: Is that bad for Yorkies I did pick up my spinach leaves what dropped as I was making a salad, but I missed one. Is that harmful for Yorkies~? He may need some energy since I believe I have a mouse on the porch. :) |
Spinich is WONDERFUL for dogs- Layla gets it daily- i steam it and put it in with her meals. any green vegetable is great for dogs. |
This is on the BARF diet website.Spinach Spinach contains twice as much iron as most other greens. Like other chlorophyll and carotene -containing vegetables, it is a rich source of antioxidants. Besides beta-carotene, it also supplies two other carotenes, lutein and zeaxanthin. Spinach has long had a reputation of being very high in nutrients. It is a good source of fiber, calcium, potassium and vitamins A, B6 and K |
Thanks all I eat healthy but I know some items aren't good for them, such as onions. Maybe I will put some spinach leaves on his food, but he's still looking for the mouse. |
It is not harmful but not all dogs do well on it and it wouldn't be my first choice with GI issues. Feed away. :) |
