Should I neuter? My yorkie is almost 9 months old, which I realize is a little early to start thinking about breeding but I was wondering if I still should hold off on neutering him so I can breed him later. He's a healthy, registered puppy and is well behaved, small, and very handsome. I'm afraid that if I neuter him I'll regret it later but I also know there's quite a few benefits for getting him neutered. Any suggestions? |
There are benefits but also risks. I highly recommend that before spay/neuter that the owner researches this for themselves and makes a decision based on what's right for their dog. However, I wouldn't recommend breeding him either unless you want to do pre breed health testing, go to shows, find a mentor and put a lot of time and money into it and risk his personality changing. |
I personally would get him neutered. I had my doubts about peanut too and I deceided to get him snipped, and I am glad I did. I am not breeder material :D I think there are wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many unwanted dogs in this world and wayyyyyyyyy to many puppy mills ( not saying you are a pup mill) I think you should just get your baby snipped and enjoy him like that:thumbup: |
