Discharge from his weenie I'm not trying to be immature, I just don't know what I can and can't say! I noticed yesterday that Thor had some sticy stuff around his penis, and I blow it off because I thought that he just got into something. Today I realized that it wasn't something he got into that it was puss like. It's stuck in the little amount of hair that he has down there, that's the only reason that I noticed it! He hasn't been acting wierd or out of the norm. Should I be worried? I mean, I AM worried, should I take him into see the vet? He has an appointment next week to get neutered. Ekkk! What's going on with my little guy! Thanks... |
LOL...I like your wording! I actually had the same concern in regard to Teddy so I not only showed but asked the vet. He said that a small amount of discharge is normal. Although once he was neutered I haven't seen it again since. Hope that helps clear up your worry... |
If your concerned I would take him to the vet. I could be just semen. |
All male dogs have this discharge. My pom had this but he recently got neutered. I think i hope I am not wrong that it is small amount of you know what. |
;) thanks guys! I know this may be a silly question to some people and I didn't want to offend anyone but you know, we are all mature enough to handle this subject (I hope!). Anyways, thanks to everyone who replied, I am more reassured now. I guess my little boy has become a man!! :D If it gets worse or smells, etc. I will take him in. Thanks again!! Hannah |
It would probably be a good idea to mention it to the vet before he gets neuted. :) dianne and prudence :) |
I noticed this once with Max the day before he got nuetered. I talked about it when the vet when I dropped him off for his apt. and he said it was normal and probably wont see it again once he's neutered. He was right, I havent seen it again since ;) |
Hey, all of us aunties have used words at times that might embarrass others but we know how important it is to get your point across when you are describing something that concerns you about your baby. Males have a lubricant in their penis that sometimes needs to be gently cleansed. Use cotton balls and warm water to cleanse him then pat dry. Sounds like he is a normal male, to me.. |
