Does anyone elses Yorkie LOVE carrots?
 
Does anyone elses Yorkie go batty for carrots? Mine loves them... I cannot imagine they are bad for him. He loves them so much he stole one off of a tray yesterday! Wanted to know if I have the only nutty Yorkie!

my girls love carrots!! they love bananas, green beans, sweet potatos also..lol..they are all good for them as snack so i don't mind..lol:)

Oh yes my boy loves carrots! Of course he would never steal one off my plate..LOL:D They are very good for them and they come in most dog foods. I recommend going on line and checking out all the foods and veggies that are allowed for your little guy. :p My boy loves it when I make him a sweet potato, you can also buy them dried but he prefers me to bake them for him. I give them to him just plain. :)

Yes, well needless to say that I was rather shocked that he helped himself too. He is still in his puppy phase and he is a rescue, so he is testing limits right now. Thanks too for the tips on other veggies and fruit he might like. His food is full of fruits and veg, I just never thought of giving him the fresh stuff! If you have any links of lists of foods tey can have, that would be great!

yea, fresh veggies are very good for them. If you GOOGLE foods that dogs can or cannot eat you will see quite a few sites out there. There are some veggies like avacados that they shouldn't have. :D

I don't know about carrots, I'll have to find out!
Mine loves string cheese and yogurt....she goes crazzzy when I pull one out as a snack for myself. I give her little tiny bits 'cause I'm not sure if it's bad for her to have that kind of dairy...?
Oh- and peanut butter.....
Tried to give her a cucumber once and she wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with it lol

Yup, my two are carrot lovers too..and potatoes, turnip, bananas, apples, watermelon, celery, ect....:animal-pa

Yes I have 3 yorkies and all three of them love their carrot treat.
On the first day I got each one of them I gave the carrots to them.
My yorkies, are Benny, Teddy and Bella.

Rhianna is my fruit and veggie girl . . .loves little bits of celery, carrots, string beans, banana . . .Brody HATES that stuff . . .he's more of a meats and potato kinda boy . . .;)

Tiki and Kona love baby carrots! They also love oranges..must be the color!;) LOL

I don't know! I'm going to offer her a carrot and see if she likes it! :D I hadn't thought about giving them to her.

My girl wouldn't eat them at first, when i gave them to her raw . I steam them and she loves them that way.

Mine LOVE carrots. Lately I've been giving it to them as treats. I was worried that Hot Rod was getting a little waddlely on our walks since we don't go as far in the cold weather.

It also makes their tan/gold coloring come out more. Mine also love cauliflower (go nuts for), broccoli, potato, cabbage and lettuce.

My Pug loved them...he thought it was candy. Quick note..I got an email a couple of months back about the pre-pack baby carrots having chlorine in them to keep them fresh looking..I woudn't doubt it..so I would use fresh..or organic..
