how often does your yorkie go number 1 in a day? i have a 11month year old son. been neutered when he was super little. he doesnt mark. But this kid seems to go number 1 way to much. he is about 3 kg about 6.6 lbs. He goes about 4 to five times a day. Is this normal? I was just wondering how many times is the norm. He loves to drink water. |
Gemma, our little one, goes a bunch of times throughout the day.. but it's TINY amounts! ;) Avery, our 6.5 pounder, usually goes twice, maybe three times. ;) |
Juicy is about 4.5 lbs and she goes about 6 times a day.(9am,11am,2pm,5pm,8pm and then finally 10:30pm) I am sure she would go less but when I take her out she gets right down to buisness. Sometimes its just a couple of drops, but she loves water. |
he goes quite a bit...its not just drops.....in the morning after sleeping he will go quite alot! I am wondering if he normal or has problems? |
Lucky is 5lb 8oz and will be 1 yr old Saturday. He goes alot and is pee pad trained. I would say prob. 10 or more times a day. He drinks alot to though. I had the vet do a urine test and everything was fine. He said for Luckys weight he should be drinking no more than 9 to 10 oz in 24 hrs so I measured what he was taking in and it is about 8 oz. in 24 hrs. |

i think the smaller they are & the smaller bladder they have.. the more they will have to go. (ex. our little one, Gemma, goes a bunch throughout the day.. but little amounts.. her bladder is tiny! ;) - Avie will go only a couple times.. but she goes larger amounts and she holds it longer inbetween! ;)) as long as your baby does not seem to be straining when going.. as long as there is no blood & no crystals in the urine... i don't think there should be anything to worry about! especially if they are drinking a ton of water.. :) now, if you think they are drinking too much water.. that could be something else: Increased Drinking and Urinating |
pretty normal! It's very normal for a yorkie to go pee alot in one day. their bladder can hold about the same amount as an 8 oz glass. so if they have been drinking alot theyre def going to go alot! my girl is very active so she gulps down water everytime she can and when they drink, they usually have to go about an hour later. so i would say she goes about 10 times a day! but in very small amounts. i think ur boy is just fine:aimeeyork |
