Frontline Spray - Anyone use it? Well ladies and gentlemen, it's about that time of year again... it's going to be warm soon! I'm so excited! :D Which means we are probably going to start flea/tick preventative in the next month or so. I've been doing some research on the Frontline Spray and I really want to start using it if I can find out some more information first. With 3 dogs, flea/tick treatment can get pretty expensive. I figure the $45 bottle spray will last at least a month which is less than the $60+ I would pay otherwise. Does anyone use this and have you had success with it? Does it smell bad? For some reason I have this fear that saturating their coat in it will make them smell horrible for the whole month. Thanks in advance! :animal-pa |
I have used Frontline spray for years and years, before most people knew about it. I used to have to buy it directly from Merial. Don't get a big bottle. A small bottle will last for years. I have Lady and two cats and I usually have to throw mine out when the date expires. Frontline Spray The best way to apply it is to saturate a cosmetic puff (not cotton ball - too absorbent) and rub it on. I use half the number of pumps suggested by weight and it is plenty. |
What about if you have a licker?Lily licks her self all the time, would it be safe? |

I found some stuff on the internet called cedarcide and people have had good success, and it is not as toxic, I think I will try it this summer |
My vet uses it & so do groomers (the frontline spray), they just spray directy on the skin at the back of dog's necks. I buy the biggest size of frontline plus (dogs 89-132lbs) & transfer it to a glass vial & draw up .67ml with a syringe for my babies (dosage is for up to 22lbs). |
