? about behavior after neutering... Good Morning! I just got all three of my dogs fixed on Monday. I have 1 male, Diesel who is 1.5 yrs, and 2 females, Larkin (2) and Lily, who is their puppy and 5 months old. My question is about Diesel...ever since they got home yesterday morning, he has been NON-STOP trying to hump my girls. It's as bad as when Larkin was in heat! Normally, he doesn't show this behavior at all. Has anyone else had this happen? I thought neutering him was supposed to stop his male tendencies (humping, marking, etc)! Will it go away? Do you know why he started this? Any and all answers would help me! I've never been around 3 dogs who just got fixed ;) We are actually taking him to my MIL's today so the girls can relax. Especially Lily b/c she just thinks he's playing with her and she can't play right now! Larkin is the alpha dog in the house and even her "vicious" growling attempts haven't made him stop! Sorry so long, but I've been yelling "Diesel, NO!" for the last 24 hours! :) |
I have heard it can take a couple of weeks after neutering for hormones to work their way out of the system. My Male has been neutered though and did try to hump my female once so I dont think neutering always completely stops humping |
