Fruit and yogurt question.... I recently started giving my dogs a teaspoon or so of yogurt ( low /no fat plain Dannon ) I wanted to know how much is O.K. ? A teaspoon or tablespoon or more ? And how often to give it ....everyday , every other day ? Also , Sydney loves blueberries..are they O.K. to put in her yogurt ? and if so is it OK to do it with every yogurt feeding or should I only do it like once or twice a week ? I wasn't sure about giving the fruit often because of the natural sugar...is that O.K. for a dog? lastly , vanilla ( without artificial sweetners etc. ) is O.K. once in a while , correct? Thanks :) |

blueberries are as great for dogs as it is for people. I use baby food fruit and put it in Layla's yogurt every night as her snack! |
I just gave yogurt to Couper today for the first time as he wasnt eating any puppy food...he loved it & lapped it up...:) Now he is sleeping... |

Thanks :) I made sure to read the labels and make sure nothing artificial, including sweeteners , were used in it. I do buy vanilla (among others) for myself and they would sit and look at me like they want it...It's very hard to eat with four little eyes staring intently at you following the spoon from your mouth to the cup and back again  I wanted to be sure about the vanilla before I used it in case I couldn't find the plain ( which so far I haven't had a problem finding) |
