Sorry.......another weight question Sorry for yet another weight question. Our princess was born Sept. 30th. She now weights 7lbs. Does this mean she is going to be huge? How much more do you think she will grow? |
She still has some growing to do. I would say 10-12 lbs |
I wouldn't say huge. She may even lose weight. It is really hard to tell. I have had pups that lost weight after 6 months. At her age now she should be starting to level out. But you really never know. And it wont change her, you already love her right? Who cares how much she weighs, as long as she is healthy |
I checked this chart out: Yorkshire Terrier - Yorkie Puppy Growth/Weight Chart - watch us grow My puppy is about 5lbs and born Sept 13th as well. I think he'll be 7-8lbs but if he's bigger that's great too so I don't have to worry about him going up stairs when we go to my dad's house. He likes to follow him around. :) |
The formula I have always heard is double the weight at 12 weeks and add .5 to one pound. |
I don't mind her being bigger at all. We had zero experience w/ Yorkie's before my husband got her so all I knew is I kept reading 5-7 lbs was what they should weigh as adults. I knew our baby wasn't going to be in that range. We would love her even if she weighed 20 lbs. |
