quick yogurt question... i heard that yogurt is accpetable for dogs so i bought Dannon all natural lowfat vanilla for bailee...there is cultured grade A reduced fat milk, sugar, natural vanilla and pectin...it was the blandest i could find, is this ok? |
Hm, I'm not sure so bump!!! |
If you don't mind giving sugar, it is fine. Otherwise you will need to use plain. I see no problem with a small amount of sugar (not artificial sweetener) occasionally. |
ok thanks ellie may, i looked and that was the blandest i could find but next time ill try to find some minus the sugar, thanks for your help! |
Dannon does make a nonfat plain yogurt...it comes in the small containers. Thats what i give Pasquale. |
Mine dont like the plain so I give them vanilla |
As Ellie May said a little sugar won't kill them, but you better off finding one without sugar. Best wishes. |
That is just fine to give. Plain is better, but vanilla isnt bad.... |
Mine eat the vanilla sometimes too.... |

I give this to mine as well!;) |
I use the vanilla that come in the cups. It is lower in sugar then the others. I only give it to her every once in a while. I asked my vet when I first got Suri and she said that vanilla or plain is fine, a little sugar is okay. |
I prefer Stonyfield Organic plain yogurt or Dannon plain. Just be very careful never to feed any artificially sweetened yogurt like Yoplait. Artificial sweeteners can be toxic to dogs. |
