feeding ???? when i feed her twice a day she doesnt eat it all right away is that bad?? should i be feeding her and like timing her and taking it away?? i mean she eats it all i learned to not give her so much but she doesnt like rush..... just curious?? |
I like to leave the food out for about 2 hours but I do have 5 yorkies. I think that 30 min is a good time frame for 1 dog. |
It is fine if she doesn't rush. She probably just isn't excited about her food. She is only 3 months though, right? She is too young for twice daily feedings still. |
she is just 3 months old. so ur saying i should feed her more?? |

Hypoglycemia could happen easily if you only feed twice a day. |
her dry food is always available to her and i did feed her 3 times a day but she never ate the lunch....it would just be wasted...so i stopped.. |

She may just not be too hungry or she could be tired of the flavor. Since she is free fed, she does need to eat something (kibble is fine) in the middle of the day though even if she doesn't want to. |
she hasnt been on this food for that long....i hope shes not tired of the flavor lol |
Hello all, I just got my 18 wk old baby, Yukie, about 2 weeks ago. I switched his food to Iams Smart Puppy Proactive health (dry). The first week when I was mixing in with his previous food (Biljac), he seemed to like it. Now after 2 days of eating Iams alone, mixed with a little water (2 tblsp) he doesn't seem to eat as well. At night I mix his food with a 1/2 tsp of crushed pinapples (told this was a good deterent for stopping him from eating his poop). He eats this portion a little better, until he's gotten all the pinapples out. I feed him according to the weight guide on the packaging, 1 1/2 cup a day ( 1/2 cup 3x a day) and he only eats about 1/4 cup each feeding... if that. What am I doing wrong? |
Samson likes when I put a little steamed rice or carrots in with his dry. I alternate rice and carrots. He loves it. |
