Aremis Vs. Solid gold dog food??? Hi..I need help on choosing the best food for my 11 month old yorkie. He has been on :Artemis Fresh mix, Small breed formula" and does well on it but he doesn't seem to enjoy eating it. It's like he eats it because he has not choice. Now I looked around and was suggested to get "Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit" for small breed! Does anyone know what food is best? I don't want him to bulk up since he is a house dog and doesn't go out side much. I want to keep him healthy, happy, and small..Any advise will be appreciated..thanks |
I just through with this topic with a girlfriend of mine the other day. :) I've never been impressed with Solid Gold products. Their marketing teams are geniuses and I used to feed their products for four years and then it's like other dog food companies cropped up and older ones started getting with the program and bettering their foods, leaving Solid Gold in the dust. Artemis IS a good product, and I've had the same palatibility issue with my Yorkies and a Staffordshire Terrier that you have now. I switched all of my dogs (all competition dogs except one retired Yorkie) over to: Champion Petfoods | ACANA | Our Products Good luck with the great food debate! :) |
I like Solid Gold's Barking at the Moon better than Wee bits, if you are firm on SG. My favorite kibble (I feed raw, though :p) would be Orijen - others I like are Innova EVO, and Natures Variety Instinct (but not the rabbit). |
