I understand that the pits of some fruits (apples) can be very toxic to dogs. Was thinking that they if they smelled the apple on the pits they would eat them.

I never thought about bananas for our lil ones...but going to see if my baby likes um....She loves baby carrots....

I read a couple times on this thread that some of the fur babies like baby carrots. how are you feeding the baby carrots to them? are you chopping them up into pieces first? do you cook them?

My lil girl is a good size at 6.5 lbs and I just give them to her raw and whole...she loves to break them down into smaller pieces and chew on them...of course whenever I give one to her I am always there watching her while she eats it..

It is so funny to hear about the various likes and dislikes...:D

Minnie is our veggie dog... she likes all veggies and fruits and goes bananas over bananas... ;) Max likes apples, blueberries, peaches and dried cranberries, Mikki likes bananas, baby carrots and blueberries and Maggie insists that dogs are carnivores... :rolleyes:

I wouldn't take a chance and give my pups grapes. Here is a list of dangerous foods you might want to check out. I used to give my Lhasa Apso grapes, she loved them, then I found out it can be dangerous to feed them grapes. Here's the list. :)

Thank you for that list.. I would think tho by now something would have happend to them , my schnauzer used to eat them as well... They dont get them every day and when they do its not more then 3 or 4 each .. but thank you for mentioning it , i would never have thought them to be harmful ! or the raw eggs.. i have never given my dogs raw eggs, but I alway thought that they were good for a shiny coat?? Pretty interesting !

I just give them to Wookie:aimeeyork raw and whole. He will hold it between his front paws and munch on it! So cute!

Gracie will not eat baby carrots, only the ones cut into "chips". :rolleyes: If I cook them for a couple minutes she likes them much better. Each dog is different. You just have to figure out what yours likes!

I don't think grapes are good for them........

PLEASE stop feeding them grapes- just because nothing has happened yet doesn't mean it is a good idea to play with fire.

I guess I will .. they are going to be so disappointed tho :(.. but i guess if there that bad i have no choice.. i would never have thought.. does any one know of any articles about this ?? thanks!
