crooked teeth I had my 7 month old dog neutered and he had many baby teeth that had to be pulled. His front left canine tooth is pointing towards the front of his mouth rather than coming straight down in his mouth. The vet said to watch it but that it might have to be pulled if his other teeth come in and push it any farther forward. Has anyone had this happen to their dog? He had two rows of teeth on the top and bottom of his mouth. Some of the second teeth have not come in yet and the vet said he has a very tiny mouth to hold all the teeth he is getting? Orthodontist is out of the question. He's a yorkie about 7 pounds. |
I have read that some dog's mouths are too tiny for their teeth, but this usually affects dogs less than 4 pounds. I know this happens with humans, and they just have to pull the extra teeth. Sometimes if baby teeth aren't removed soon enough it can cause the permanent teeth to come in crooked, but since you have gone ahead and had the baby teeth removed, maybe it will straighten itself out. Sorry, I can't offer more advice. |
I don't have any advice to offer, but I hope your babies teeth get straight. |
My Baron is a 14 month old 7-8 pound Yorkie. We waited to neuter him because he had alot of retained baby teeth. Right now he has 1 lower Canine on the right side and a few teeth going towards the back that will need to be removed!! His Adult Canine is pushed off to the left. The vet hopes once we remove the baby tooth the adult will move over where it should be!! I have my fingers crossed!! I hope your guys straighten out too!!!:xfingers::goodluck::thumbup: |
