Woogie Man | 01-25-2009 02:58 AM | Well, here's the ingredients....."Ingredients
Whole grain corn, poultry meal, soybean meal, beef fat*, brown rice, apples, peas, carrots, animal digest (source of chicken flavor), calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, salt, choline chloride, potassium chloride, vitamins (vitamin E supplement, vitamin A supplement, niacin supplement, D-calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, manganous oxide, copper sulfate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), caramel color, yellow 5, yellow 6, red 40, blue 1, blue 2, rosemary extract.
* naturally preserved with mixed tocopherols" This is not a good food. The first ingredient is corn (not good), second is poultry meal (not good due to it being an unidentified source), third is soybean meal (a cheap source of protein), then beef fat (likely rendered, recycled grease). The next few things aren't bad until you get to the animal digest. After that, get out your chemistry book to decipher the vitamins and minerals and then there are 6  dyes in the food. Dog food should have ZERO dyes in it. IMO, this food is about marketing and not about making a quality food. There are just enough decent ingredients to have something to promote in their advertising. |
