How much.....??? How much did your baby's spay or neuter cost? I'm just curious what the average cost is and how they differ in different areas of the country. |
When we had our maltipoo, Dixie, spayed at 6 months it cost a little over $100. I'm hoping it will be around that when it comes time to have our two yorkies done. |
Good question. I paid $390 for a neuter in NJ. I think this is on the extreme high side from what I've since learned. The pre-op blood work was extra. However, if I recall correctly, the local SPCA would have performed the neuter for around $150. I reasoned that you get what you pay for, so I went high. |
Roxie had about 4 teeth pulled at the same time as her spay and stayed the night there. With pain meds for her and everything it was under $200.00. That was about a year and half ago. |

Do you also want to know how much it costs to have a tooth pulled in NJ :D |

Gus' vet bill says $31.75 for tooth extraction. Sounds like singular, i.e., one tooth, but I thought he was supposed to have 2 teeth pulled. Maybe one fell out when he bit the vet tech prior to surgery. He did not go peacefully. |
I just had Piper spayed in November. She also had 4 teeth removed and it cost $197. |
Mine was $110 for the spay and $90 for the neuter |
I live in Michigan and for Bella's blood work, 3 teeth removed, spay, meds, and a cone was $204. |
I spent a little over $100. I used the $30 voucher they offer at LA shelters and went on a day where it's discounted, so I saved quite a bit of money. |
Gus went home the day of the surgery. Cost should indicate if an overnight stay was included or not. |
pre op bloodwork $55 neuter $245 (spay is more - i think around $290) pain meds & antiobiotics $30 baby teeth $22 PER TOOTH  but my vet is awesome and very educated on small breeds so it would be worth it! :D |
