Bad breath My one yorkie, Bengie has damaged teeth that I brush daily, his BYB gave him a very strong antibiotic when he was just a pup and it discolored the enamel on his teeth. They look awful, but the vet says it is just cosmetic. However, his breath is AWFUL! I have tried just about every product on the market and nothing is working. Greenies, denta bones, breath freshener, you name it, I have bought it. Any suggestions, I love my boy, but sometimes his breath just knocks me over. It cannot be the food, cause my other boy does not have this problem, just Benni. |
It might just be something in Bengie's genes? Really not sure. Guess maybe getting too close for kisses might be asking too much? LOL. Or just hold your breath when he goes in for the smooch!. On a more serious note, I wish I had some advise for you. I just don't know? |
 8 in 1 Sweet Breath tabs would keep a 200 lb.Mastiff's breath fresh ALL DAY. I think they are one of the BEST products ever made for doggies |
Thanks I will run out tonight and get those 8 in 1 breath tabs, I have tried so many different things. I hope that this works, his breath is just stinky!!! |
It usually only takes a couple days before you can see (or smell) a difference. I use 1-2 a day depending on the stinkiness. My dogs think they are treats. if your dog is really small you can probably break one in half and use 1/2 in the morning then half later. |
Where do you get those? |
Yes, please where do you get them? I called Petsmart and they do not carry the tabs, only the dental wipes. Any suggestions? I live in SoCal so there are lots of stores here. |
We really need some of those too! |
I bought them at Pet Valu and now I asked the local Pet supply store to carry them . They got them in and sold out right away but the owner saved me a box since I was the one who originally asked for them. She already ordered a dozen more boxes If anybody can't grt them I could probably send them to you. You would just have to pay for the Tabs and postage at the exact cost. :) Yorkieangel |
Here's a link that I found where you can order them: http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/p...d_id=153&Page= |
Bad breath Hi all, I'm new on the site and am in London England. My yorkie has awful breath and I really like the sound of the 8 in 1 sweet breath tablets. Does anyone know where I could get them in the UK :) |
These won't cure anything but they may help with the odor... Breath Biscuits Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups brown rice flour 1 Tbl. charcoal 1 large egg slightly beaten 3 Tbl. vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped parsley 1/3 cup chopped fresh mint 2/3 cup milk Preheat oven to 400. Combine flour, salt and charcoal. In a medium bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley and mint; mix well. Slowly stir in flour mixture, then add enough milk to make a dough the consistency of drop biscuits. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 1 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 15 min., or until firm. Store cooled biscuits in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
