"Molly" Doesn't Bark We added a new Yorkie to our family. Our 4 yr old Maggie, needed a friend to play with. So, now we have Molly. Molly is 4 months old, has a great deal of energy, eats everything (including her poo). The only thing that she doesn't do, is BARK. From day one, she makes a tiny noise like a baby raccoon. Never has she barked. We have two heelers and the two Yorkies. When the other furkids kick up a barking storm, Molly just watches. She hears just fine, and comes when called. Does anybody have this concern? I don't want to call it a problem. Sometimes quiet is good. I'm just concerned. :( |
Wrigley hardly ever barks. It's usually only if something really startles her, otherwise not a peep! I think she's just content with her two sisters doing the barking for her! Camden didn't bark for a month when we rescued her last April and we thought how lucky that we got two who don't bark! She then found her voice and likes to use it! :) |
Faith never barked at all we were so concerned, when she turned 0ne yr old she finally started to bark and we then found out she has the sweetest softest girly bark ever!!! |
Count your blessings. My Feather was quiet as a mouse for several months then one day she foud her voice er bark and now she barks frequently |
I don't think you have too much to worry about :) My little Tatum never barked for the LONGEST time when we got her. We got her at 12 weeks old and I can't remember how long it took for her to finally bark, but it was a very long time. I was worried too, at first, because I thought maybe she couldn't bark....but eventually she did and I'm sure that your baby will too :) P.S. - Tatum (now at a little over 2 years old) still isn't much of a barker at all. She RARELY does it - and it sounds sooo cute when she does :p She has a very "tiny" bark and a raspy little voice lol...she sounds like a mouse :D And hearing her *try* to growl is even cuter LOL  Just soo funny to hear! |
