help!!!! ok i just took bailee to petsmart and got her some denta stix by pedigree. We got home and she absolutely loved them!!! I just looked at the back and it said it was not suitable for dogs under 5 pounds?! bailee is only 3, could it possibly harm her????? |
i don't think it could. i gave them to my Tyke when he was 3 lbs and he's ok. I didn't realize there was a weight on them. i think it's because the smaller the dog you need to watch them while their chewing them, just like any other treat or things they chew on that they can eat. hope that makes sense. Tyke weighs 5 lbs now and he still chews on them. he doesn't like them as much as he used to. hope this helps.:) |
Should be fine! Just make sure you watch while they are eating them!!!!! :D:D |
I think it will be fine tonight but there is a reason that the bag says that, so if my dog was a couple ounces under 5 pounds, I wouldn't be too concerned, but 2 pounds under...I would ask your vet. That is just too big of a different. |
did you get the smallest size?(I think they're "petite" size) Turkleton's only 4 lbs and I give them to him. I just make sure I'm nearby when he eats them because I worry about choking. |
ok good.thanks! |
yes they were the smallest size. i made sure to watch her too |
