How do you store your bully sticks? Since bully sticks and flossies are an animal product, should they be refrigerated or frozen? Or is it ok to leave them in a cabinet? I just received an order of them and don't want them to spoil. :p Thanks! |
I keep mine in a ziplock baggie (the thicker freezer ones) in a kitchen cabinet. |
Being a dehydrated product bully sticks should be safe stored in the cabinet. I wouldn't want to store them in a refrigerator because they could collect moisture and that would ruin them. |
I have always bought mine in bulk and kept them in the freezer and taking out 10 at a time and putting them in the fridge (in a zip lock bag)....I haven't run into any problems so far, but not wondering if I shouldn't put them in the freezer/fridge :confused::confused: |
As a dried out product they should not need refrigeration. Merrick's come individually wrapped, and I don't store them any special way. Some bully sticks are made with preservatives, and have expiration dates, so careful storage would be important. |
