treats for pup with liver shunt What is a good treat for a 2 1/2 year old pup who has had liver shunt surgery 2 years ago. We are starting training and need a good treat to use. Any ideas?? |
Seedless watermelon, peeled and cored apple bits and green beans should be fine. :) |
Thanks for the tips. We will try these. Are these can green beans? |

I don't see a problem with it because there are no preservatives. You could also cook fresh if you want. |
I like to puree cooked sweet potato, carrots and apples or other yummy favorites then add 1/2 an egg and alittle flour, or baby oatmeal till it makes a nice consistency then i bake them like cookies till they are golden brown, not an exact recipe or anything but you can make'em yorkie bite size. copper likes variety and I can control every thing that goes into my little guy. |
you can also cut up the hills L/D or other prescription canned food into smaller bites and bake |
