playful nipping our new pup chewie gets so excited he likes to wiggle and nibble on your fingers, ouch those teeth are sharp! any suggestions would be appreciated we don't want a biter , we tried hugging him close and lightly hold mouth closed and saying no but it seems to make it worse , thank you angie |
Try some bitter apple on your hands.. It will stop him for the time being.. If he is like Ramsey he will keep trying till the taste is gone away and he would start nipping agian. |
Our little Carlee does this too. A stern "No" is what she listens to and stops. Just keep repeating it and he'll get the hint. P.S. - Welcome to YT! |

Oh poor guy, I hope he gets to feeling better! Yep, I live like 15 minutes away from elizabethton. My boyfriend has family there.... (last name taylor) |
this is crazy i'm at work typing inbetween patients,(dental assistant) some people just don't get new puppy syndrome, it's like i have a new baby! i already have two children two cats and a sheltie who is ealmost twelve and i am so pround of mylittle chewie he can sit and fetch at eleven weeks, i love my sheltie but he still won't sit or fetch a ball! ha,ha |
When I first brought Gracie home it felt hopeless that she would ever quit biting...and those baby teeth are SO sharp...whenver she would bite I would say "NO BITE" and push her away...it seemed like it wasn't working but then one day she just stopped biting....I think she grew out of it...just be patient... |
